Third Edition of Albion Exchange News
Welcome to the third edition of Albion Exchange News
In this edition you will find the latest project news and behind the scenes insight into our Little Giants of Albion initiative launching in later this month.
Since our last edition we are pleased to share that Albion Exchange has been named by Quest City North News as one of the top five inner city north developments to watch in 2019. Read the full article here.
Geon Property would like to extend our gratitude to those who have shown support for the development during the public advertising period of Stage One including local businesses, residents and community groups.
Community Exchange
Following discussions with local community, bicycle groups and specialist advisors, Geon Property completed plan revisions for the design of Stage One of Albion Exchange and re-lodged these plans on Friday 11 January 2019.
Stage One of the project is one of the largest stages of Albion Exchange and involves 4,965sqm of public open space, a public plaza connecting the east and west of Albion Road, food and beverage tenancies, outdoor dining opportunities, health and fitness facilities and the development of two residential towers featuring 309 apartments.
It will also incorporate an upgrade of transport facilities and improvement of access to Albion train station which will include:
- Plaza access across the rail corridor connecting the east and west sides of Albion
- New ticket office facilities and amenities
- New lift and stair access to station platforms
- Integration with the future North Brisbane Bikeway.
Pending Council approval, construction will commence in 2020. The latest Albion Exchange plans for Stage One can be viewed on Council’s Planning and Development Online system by searching application number A005013244 or by following this link.
